What type of cake are you?

Are you done yet? It’s time to come out of the oven.

Crucible (aka “2020”)

a situation of severe trial, or in which different elements interact,
leading to the creation of something new

~ Oxford languages dictionary

You made it.

Do you feel the significance of that?

2020 threw everything at you, and here you are. Standing at the Threshold of the Cocoon of Winter. Mere days away from turning the page to a new calendar year.

Given that you are here, I'm most curious ~

What have you learned in this crucible of a year? About yourself? About life? About the world?

This question was posed to me by one of my favorite writers, Mark Manson, in his newsletter that goes to hundreds of thousands people. I never respond to newsletters like that because I figure my voice doesn't matter. It'll get lost in the tide.

But that's been one of my big lessons of this year. My voice matters. Your voice matters. Voices matter. Stories need to be told, shared, lifted up and learned from.

So, my dear, I mean it when I say: I want to hear your voice. I want to know what you've learned and how you're doing in the crucible. What have you learned this year? Drop a comment below.

Your words keep me going. I hope my words do the same for you.
