Untamed

Glennon Doyle’s words resonate with me so much. I feel liberated from the idea of needing to be a good daughter (even though my mom died 3 years ago) and now see my rebellious teenage self as a gift to this world.

At 14 I hit the wall of conforming and have been fighting that tendency ever since ✊🏻 The words in this book help me extend compassion to my mom for the way I judged her being a daughter because she was rebellious in many ways too. I see how that was a good thing and modeled some of my own choices in adulthood.

This book encourages me to be more untamed and to speak with actions more than words or concepts.

So many thoughts... these are a few based on conversations with other fierce women this morning in book club.

Have you read it yet, or any of Glennon’s others?

Thank you, Glennon Doyle, for giving words to the wildness that sets us free.
