The most beautiful salad

My creativity for the day was feeling inspired to make this salad. I've joined a CSA (local farm share), and I just love the element of surprise. My first week I was introduced to persimmons, which I'm now buying at the store since they are in season and locally grown. This week's surprise was purple cauliflower... it tastes the same, but look at the hit of color it adds to this salad of fennel, persimmon, cucumber, scallion, red pepper, mandarin, and pear (from my own tree). I'm going to arrange this on a bed of arugula, top with some blue cheese, and sit back to enjoy my art.
