The Magic of Bone Throwing

Hello, curious soul ~

Certain times of life feel particularly magical. It's usually when we feel lit up by a new spark that's entered our lives. The experience becomes more glittery when softened by time. When looking back, we forget the momentary chaos and daily commitments that we were likely juggling.

8 years ago I found myself living in a small trailer on a wild property. Bucks walked by my window, foxes bounded through the grass, owls called to each other across the meadow as coyotes yipped in the distance.

In this space a calling entered my spirit to connect with my ancestors, the ones who spoke the language of animals. The primal, wild ones who felt like the rocks that civilization is built upon.

The desire rose up in me so clearly. Questioning and explanation kill the mystery and magic of this moment, so I dived into working with bones, found objects, and other symbols, both natural and man made (for what is man if not part of nature). I gathered other witchy friends for a sleepover as we started reading with no guide other than our own willingness to speak what rose within.

Throwing Bones always bring me back to this point in time and further back to the ancestors of my blood that lend wisdom more than chaotic memories.

This time in life was woven together with trying to make financial sense of a magical business I loved but that didn't support me in the mundane world. So much love, depth, creativity and connection still sparkle in my life from those days.

Bone Throwing combines all aspects. It creates a connection to ancestors, deepens interactions with nature, and tunes you in to oracular wisdom. It's a bridge to other realms.

On Thursday, May 9 I'm teaching Intro to Bone Throwing for the first time in years. You'll mostly learn through doing as we'll gather around for community readings. Through practice you'll awaken your intuition and connection to your ancestors.

I'll share what I “know,” and you'll also receive a guidebook and a starter kit so you can continue to practice and learn on your own.

If you have any questions, hit reply. I read every message. If you aren't local but you feel the curious stirring, I offer Bone Throwing readings for $65 (hit reply to book) as well as booklets and starter kits in my online shop.
