Summer Luvin'

Summer is here, Witches... and whether you love it or hate it, today I'm asking:

How can we get in sync with summer?

Knight of Swords Tarot Card

Swords is the suit where you can get lost in your head with possibilities and stories. You can dream about a fun day at the beach and then sabotage yourself thinking about sunburn and crowds, never doing anything.

The Knight of Swords beckons you to get out. Be romantic about summer's possibilities. Walks on the beach, camping, dips in the cool waters of a river or lake, barbecues, sleeping outside, picking flowers, wearing featherlight dresses, laying in a hammock, eating ice cream... {insert your romantic ideas about summer here}.

Brainstorm a list of these ideas, and then, more importantly, start doing them. Small gestures. Create a highlight reel of options such as: wear a big sun hat, cannonball in the pool, shop the bounty of farmers markets, stay up late, watch a movie outside, ride a roller coaster, dance at a festival, run through a sprinkler, drink lemonade, eat watermelon.

Personally, Summer challenges me more than any other season, so I'm taking this to heart. If need be, woo yourself into having an enjoyable affair with summer for a couple months. This is about romance and enjoying life in an ideal way. This isn't a forever commitment because we live in a place where other seasons will have their turn and we can begin this romancing again.
