Spring Equinox + Waning Moon: A Contradiction?
This week Spring Equinox arrives during the Waning Moon cycle. (We won’t go overboard mentioning the eclipse gate, Mercury Retrograde and Venus Retrograde.)
Spring’s energy is so much about emerging. Vibrant greens pop up overnight from dead-looking tree branches, and life bubbles up in the most unexpected places.
The energy of Spring seems to contradict Waning Moon energy.
The Waning Moon encourages us to make space and step back from the light to tend those spaces that have been neglected.
Cycles are always overlapping, and, in this overlap, interpretations become nuanced and interesting.
With the arrival of Spring during the Waning Moon, I invite you to contemplate or journal about:
What can you let go of that’s actually restricting growth?
This is a natural part of gardening, such as clearing away Winter’s debris and churning any cover crops, so new growth can be seen and new things can be planted.
For me, I’m letting go of explaining everything. Because I’ve learned so much about possibilities from other people’s experiences, I love sharing my process and mindset in case it helps others in that same way. But, I’m learning to ask if this is even desired or helpful rather than waiting for the person to glaze over or redirect me.
This week I’m unveiling a new newsletter format. It’s been bubbling within me for some time, and I decided to just start with the idea and evolve as I go. So much inspiration and thinking went into it, but I’m just sending it out trusting that all who receive it will get it. No explanation or context needed. For this Gemini, that’s a very big deal.
