Change the way you look at something

Over the last few days I've had a couple of meetings with photographer Linda Savitz, who lives and works in the area here. It's time for me to get some new photos of new work, and possibly some new photos of best sellers... a new perspective can reinvigorate the way we feel about our own work in addition to making it look fresh and new to regular accounts and collectors. Just meeting with her and feeling her excitement for my work has reenergized me and kept me going on some late nights.

The need for a new photographer arose simply from my move. It is possible to work with photographers from afar, and this happens often with jury slide photographers, but I'm looking for product shots and model shots on a regular basis so I can keep my website looking fresh and keep my stores, galleries, and individual clients updated with new designs. It's easier to have control of what's happening (umm, and working down to the wire) when it's right in your own town.

Linda is so talented! I'm excited to see what she envisions. Today I gave her a big box of jewelry for another shoot entirely... my pieces are just to help with the styling and I might get some bonus shots. I'll post them if all goes as planned. As a bonus she also nabbed my zebra coat and gold brocade long jacket as styling options... it'll be fun to see what shows up where!
